It is November. The K-5 Character trait this month is Gratitude. Gratitude is learning to appreciate the people and things in our lives. Can you remember a time when someone did something for you that made your day better or made you feel happy? You probably felt gratitude. Confucius, the great Chinese thinker and teacher, once said, " I was complaining that I had no shoes til I met a man who had no feet." In Chinese culture, Gratitude means more than just saying, "thank you," it means returning kindness with kindness.

Congratulations to our Bulldogs for bringing home more hardware!

8 students from Bainville High School attended the EconoQuest in Bozeman last week. EconoQuest is an annual event put on by the Montana World Affairs Council. This year they listened to speakers such as Bill Woolf, Space Force Association CEO; and Jillian Streit, Director of the Montana Dept. of Agriculture. They had lunch with Nancy Hunter, Fairview High School Alumni and North American SVP of Collabio Healthcare and attended her Bioscience Industry discussion panel learning about the key role Montana is playing in the medical and bioscience industry as well as what employers are looking for to fill the roles in this growing industry. They had a mini lesson on photonics, lasers and polarization from an MSU grad student studying Optics and Photonics. The girls toured the MSU campus meeting with representatives from the Honors College, Criminal Science and Anthropology department as well Dr. Eric Belasco, Head of the Economics Department. They also enjoyed a morning at the Museum of the Rockies where they had the opportunity to take in both the museum exhibits and attend a planetarium show.
